Trinity Again, and Again

Emails & Questions
Q: Lastly, last night I read I John 5:7. While agreeing  with you that the trinity is a man made word that Verse does give a  little more validity to the idea. When you read a Verse like that it  makes sense why America would follow the theory. Your thoughts?  Absolutely not an argument, just asking your thoughts.
          Be blessed Dan!

A:
KJV = 1Jn 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

YSRB 1Jn 5:6  This is he who came by water and blood, YaHshua the messiah; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 1Jn 5:7-8  For there are three who testify: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and the three agree as one.

We can see from other translation that this verse, are not in agreement, with other translations (see more examples below).  It has been determined by many studies that the KJV along with those who follow the KJV as their base model, copy this mistranslation into their own versions but have been corrected in some of the newer version.  The changes found in the wording for Father, Word,  and Holy Ghost, from the original MS, Spirit, Water, and Blood.  The change to Father, Word and Holy Spirit came about through the Trinity teachings from the Roman Church, teaching the Trinity Doctrine from the Pagan teachings which that religious order continues to teach to this day.  The addition or changing of the wording, if I remember correctly can be traced back to around the 11th century.  This is why it is good to have other translations to compare.

So, this is the Trinity?  Hardly.  The Trinity Doctrine says that the Three are, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, three separate individuals all bound up into one Being -- the God of Three Faces.  This verse is not talking about, or referencing a Deity of Three, but instead, is referencing the complete humanity of our Lord and Savior, YaHshua --  #1 the Spirit.  #2 the Water.  #3 The Blood.  This witness is telling us that our Lord and Savior, YaHshua, came in full form of the FLESH.  This fits as a witness against those who say that He really did not come in the Flesh.

Yet, as a stone is used to witness to a testimony, the actual blood and water that poured out of our Savior when he was slain on the Cross, proved His humanity, and His total qualification to stand for us, knowing all of the temptations and trials we endure, know what it is to live in these weakened bodies of flesh -- acting as our Witness by His sacrifice in actual, literal DEATH, proved by the out pouring of His Water and Blood and His Spirit returning to the Father, while He laid dead in the Tomb, awaiting His resurrection.  By all of this, He is able to be our arbitrator before the Father, understanding fully what it is to be human, only only of flesh and blood, weaker than the weakest of Angels -- what a Gift to us, for us.   And this is so important -- that if anyone denies that He actually came in the Flesh, or became fully human --  such deniers are of the "antichrist".   Here is a link to the study I have done in the past that you may find interesting -- it is a two part study, not very long, but to the point -- https://www.servantsofyahshua.com/trinity----1-john-5-7-8-.html

1Jn 4:3 ... and every spirit who doesn't confess that YaHshua the messiah has come in the flesh is not of the FATHER, and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.

1Jn 2:22 Who is the liar but he who denies that YaHshua is the messiah? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the FATHER and the Son.

These are elementary teachings that the First Eclessia understood. John penned those words but crafty men of different persuasions shaped and even added certain words and meanings to support their own doctrines, or, as in some occasions, to make the Christians look foolish.

This is why we are encouraged to learn more about Him, from the words already delivered, words written by the eye witnesses, and this means comparing, especially when it comes to doctrine.

The Scriptures Translation -- 1Jn 5:7  Because there are three who bear witness:
1Jn 5:8  the Spirit, and the water, and the blood. And the three are in agreement.
The Hebrew Roots Translation -- 1Jn 5:7 And the Spirit is the One witnessing, because the Spirit is the truth.
1Jn 5:8 And there are three who bear witness: The Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three are united
The Christian Jewish Bible -- 1Jn 5:7  There are three witnesses -
1Jn 5:8  the Spirit, the water and the blood - and these three are in agreement.
The NIV -- 1Jn 5:7  For there are three that testify:
1Jn 5:8  the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

Even the notorious Trinity teaching NIV does not step over the line here.

Here is a comment from a different source, a respected source dating from before either of us were born, demonstrating that this is not hidden knowledge:

Barnes Notes of 1832: "The portion of the passage, in 1Jo_5:7-8, whose genuineness is disputed, is included in brackets in the following quotation, as it stands in the common editions of the New Testament: “For there are three that bear record (in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth,) the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one.” If the disputed passage, therefore, be omitted as spurious, the whole passage will read, “For there are three that bear record, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one.”

Dan: Thanks again for the opportunity to do a little bible study with you.  Peace, Dan@servantsofyahshua.com
