Translation or Transliteration?
His Name
Translation or Transliteration
Which is it or is there a difference?
What is going on with the Biblical scholars forgetting what the difference is between a Translation and a Transliteration -- especially, when it comes to names, and even more especially when it comes to His Name, and Name above all Names?
(Php 2:9) Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every name,
In Pronunciation #5, a very nice presentation, full of useful information, we have the perfect example of the mis-use Translation over Transliteration. This is common among the Scholars. And for good (really, not so good) reason -- none of them have the nerve to go back a couple of thousand years and correct their forefathers in the art of language. They dare not tell those who have been baptized into a false name that they have been baptized into a false name. Also, they cannot, many, that they have been duped themselves and have encourage people to profess and confess in a falls name -- for this reason they deliberately confuse the difference between a translation and a transliteration.
You will notice, in Pronunciation #5, how the author of that presentation, while very knowledgable, continually refers the names that he presents and pronounces, from language to language, as a Translation, when the fact is, these are correct pronunciation but as transliterations and NOT translation.
A translation tells you what a name means, not how to say it. A translation is also the a metod for moving from one language to another retaining the meaning of what is said or written. On the other hand, a transliteration, is the reproduction of a pparticular sound made in one language and reproduced into another language -- this is how it is to always be done with names. A name can be translated, as the meaning or what a name is saying or means can be translated, but only after it has been transliterated, when moving from one language to another.
If we transliterate the name of our Savior, a name above every name, to emphasis its importance, we come up with YaHshua. The translation of that name is, YaH is savior, or YaH is salvation. This also explains Matthew 1:23, where we find the definition, Immanuel, or saying, God with us. In the Old English this name, YaHshua, was transliterated, again, NOT translated, as Joshua -- and still, the translators, for reasons only known to them, or the spirit guiding them, changed this to JESUS -- pronounced, by the many examples, and especially from what many call the "original Greek", as heyZeus -- proving, also, that His Holy Name was being and had been changed long before the English or the Roman churches got hold of the only Name by which we all must be saved.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
What a trick the spirit of this world has pulled on humanity. The enemy of mankind, is here among us -- he and all of his angels, and they are a force to be reckoned with, an enemy so few seem to acknowledge even exists, an enemy moving about in the shadows, influencing the weaker minds of humanity away from the One that is truly our Savior. This is a battle over names, it truly is. Read the Book of Revelations, chapter 13. Some, in these modern times of rebellion and pandemic panic, suggest and some believe that the vaccines are the mark of the Beast, but that is so far from the truth. If anything, it is the mandating, or the making of laws and regulations to force people to move in a certain direction or lose their livelihood, that is the real truth -- for when the true Mark of the Beast makes it appearance, it will be all about NAMES -- the Beast Name or the Name of our Father, the name our Savior came in, a Name given to Him at birth. Whose Name will you chose. It will be under the banner of the Mark, the Name of the Beast that mankind will either work or starve, that will either fit in, or be cast out, that will either be safe from other humans, or threatened with death -- death for noncompliance. The recent vaccine mandates are only a softening up, a testing ground, if you will, for what is to come. The pandemic, mandated vaccine program, proved that at least 50%, maybe more, of the world population would give in to the order by government demand, or lose their jobs, or not be allowed to gather, at church or bar, or at a common picnic grounds, such as public parks, even some mandating whether people could gather at private homes. Sometimes all it takes is 30%, or less, to influence and bring control over the greater population. Just look at what has happened -- the vaccine mandate success, has allowed, or encouraged the evil minds of some people in high places to put in office, or give unearned power to various human deviates, totally incompetent in the positions they hold, but the evil forces behind it all are able to put these devils in office. Mission accomplished.
Thsi is no joke, and it all starts with, or started with those gaining leadership of a sincere and repentant population by getting those who would repent, to trust in men and women easily influenced or manipulated by the primal addiction to power and money. It all starts by telling you that a name that never existed until around 400 years ago, is the name that was give to our Lord and Savior -- a lie, and a deception that began in the first century, with the false -- mis-transliteration -- from the Hebrew, YaHshua, to the Greek, Insous, pronounced as Iezeus, on down to the Latin, Iesus, to the English Jesus -- from then to now, neither a transliteration nor a translation.
You will notice that throughout #5, you will not hear the word, "transliteration" mentioned, not once. I have heard from another scholar that literally states that there is no such thing as a Transliteration. So, always up for a challenge, let's take a look at this non-existent word --
Cambridge English Dictionary:
Transliteration noun [ C or U ] language specialized us / trænˌslɪt̬.əˈreɪ.ʃ ə n / uk / ˌtrænz.lɪ.t ə rˈeɪ.ʃ ə n /The act or process of writing words using a different alphabet: Their texts aimed to produce a phonetic transliteration of the dialect, using the main languages of the day.
A simple definition, leaves the reader with the understanding that with a transliteration, it is the reproducing of a "letter" for letter reproduction from one language to another, in order to reproduce the same sound, or phonetic value -- thus, the repeating of a word, or name, in a different language sounds the same, even while it may look different in print, the sound would be the same from one languag to another. Here is the simple definition --
Merriam Webster:
We could go on with this, but I believe you can see the point. Denial, manipulation, and, perhaps, outright deception -- anything to keep the greater population from saying, declaring, or confessing in the Name of the only individual by whom we MUST be saved (Acts 4:12), a Name that everyone, either now or later, will have to confess, believer or not -- With His Name, His Birth Name, restored, understand what is being reveal in these few verses --transliterated; transliteratingtransitive verb: to represent or spell in the characters of another alphabettransliteration(ˌ)tran(t)s-ˌli-tə-ˈrā-shənnoun
