Judging Your Pastor
Who are you to Judge?

Q: Who are you to judge men like Chuck Missler and Tim LaHaye? C.
A: Hi C.
I am not judging to say that they are twisting scripture. When teachers go outside of the Bible to teach a doctrine and use only a couple of actual Bible verses to support works of fiction then It is not I that judge but the word and Scriptures they are using and twisting to mean something they do not mean.
It is not hard to find out what they are teaching is not in the Holy Bible’s best interest and is being abused to push a doctrine for the selling of books and tapes and DVD.
They are teaching the Giants mentioned in Genesis 6:4 are the children produced by Angels from heaven marrying human woman. This is what they are teaching. Where does it say that? Nowhere, well, not in the Bible, anyway. There is a Book these false teachers are following and even trying to turn it into scripture, the Book of Enoch. A fictional work of Jewish sages around 400 B.C. -– not the whole Book, no, only some writings of fantasy collected along with some other writings over the centuries and pressed into a Book in these modern times. They get the bulk of their teachings from outside sources of questionable origin. Some go so far as to say the Book of Enoch is Scripture.
I judge which color of socks to put on in the morning I can certainly judge one lie from another. If I judge then it is by His Word not the word of any other. Go to Chuck M. website and you will see that he is teaching and selling books and DVD on these subjects, as truth, as revealed truth. Just like Tim LaHaye teaches the false Rapture doctrine, a doctrine of false hope that when the reality hits will turn many away from the faith in mass as this false doctrine fails. Chuck Missler also teaches this false Rapture Doctrine. I am not judging these men and others they are judging themselves. Yes, they have a lot of truth, yes they are convincing, but this does not mean everything they are teaching is true and it is an empty header believer that thinks so.
Giants? Giants on Earth? Okay, King David slew a giant, some 10 feet tall, and King David had some loyal men killed that, later, killed even bigger giants from that same family of giants, later I his rule as King. No more giants, they were wiped out. If the Gaints we are told about in the imagination of these "sincere" men is as they say then where are they today, after all, did the evil angels stop raping, I mean marrying women? Oh, and the difference between the Giants of the Philistines and the Giants Chuck M. talks about is 330 feet – that’s right, the Giants of the Angels, supposedly, and according to the book of Enoch were some 340 feet in height. If the Giants Israel encountered in the land of Canaan were the Giants, or children of angels how is it they survived the flood? And why don’t we see this today? What happened, the Flood suddenly made the rebel Angels impotent? No more wives for the rebel Angels?
How could a flood stop that? Oh, wait, that is not what men like Chuck M and Chuck S are saying, or is it? Eventually these men, not just Chuck and Chuck but others, many others, eventually make this all about UFO visitations. All of this from their source the Book of Enoch, a collections of writings put together by a gentleman, around a hundred years ago, collected from some Ethiopian scraps, mingled with some New Testament writings and then claiming Enoch wrote it way back in the beginning of man's history, before the flood, and this book miraculously survived the Flood.
The Bible says nothing about this book other than Jude making some remark about something he knew other Jews were looking at and considered as something -- Jude did not argue with them only quoted from some of their own spurious material to teach them something – they would not listen to Jude saying the Messiah they did not believe in said He was returning, but how could they deny something they already believed from their own crazy writings? Our Savior did this very same maneuver over and over again when confronted with critics and scholars of the world concerning the Word. Hhe used their own words and thinking, at various times, to convict them of their error.
The Book of Enoch, as a source book is preposterous -- if you take the time to look it up online and read the whole thing. Gaints, the product of angels and human women? The proponents of this false teaching like to use the Hebrew word, Nephilim, as opposed to the English, giants, but why? It is my guess this is because the word, "nephilim" sounds more exotic, much more interesting and provocative than the word "giant" and using the word "giant" for the story they are trying to get you to buy, literally, smacks of the fabled child’s story of "Jack and the Bean Stalk".
So, what does "nephilim" mean, then, it must be something very spiritual, right? It means, "giants", that’s it. These Nephilim, or giant offspring are said to be 340 feet tall, -- tall as the Ark was long -- imagine. These giant children of angels ran out of food to eat so they start eating men. The God of the Bible had to flood the world to save man. Is this what the Bible tells us? Of course not. Read Genesis chapters 6 and 7 and you can clearly see it is about men, not giants and not angels, but men and our Creator’s regret and sorrow for having created mankind. You can forget about the angels being blamed for man's sin.
Yes, these teachers seem to be sincere men. Does that mean we should not question them because they are sincere? This is called checking your brain at the door of reason and truth. If the deceived knew they were deceived then they would not be deceived anymore.
Here is a scripture that clearly tells us that those doing the deceiving are deceived themselves, believing the fibs they are spreading themselves. "Deceiving and being deceived…"
(2Ti 3:13) But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
The "deceivers" being "deceived" do this by quoting and supporting each other. One deceiver pats the other deceiver on the back and hold each other up as believers to be trusted as they deceive and are deceived themselves. Those are not my words, so who is it that is doing the judging? I know, let’s blame Paul, he is the one that wrote those inspired words.
Do not mistake a forgiving heart and tolerant attitude as being Christ like. We can be understanding, certainly, but what did our Savior say to those experts in religion in His time on the Earth? He called them liars, and said they were of their father Satan. He called the religious leaders of His day hypocrites and He challenged them with their own words. (John 8:44). Anyone familiar with the Gospel records are knowledgeable in this. And we are not called to let the teachers of today do worse.
(Eph 5:11) Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
Are we to use soft words and be tolerant toward those in extreme error, teaching doctrines and fable of devils and demons?
(1Ti 1:19) holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith.
(1Ti 1:20) Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
(2Ti 2:17) Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
Paul was not opposed to calling out names, to naming those in error.
YaHshua also called the religious leaders out, not government leaders, He did not call out the police or the Mayer or any other political leader but He did point to the religious leaders. He quoted them, in their own words, as Jude did also, and asked them the hard questions and they in turn began to plot how to kill Him.
What is different today? Have the religious authorities changed? Is everything now honest and smooth and tolerant full of faith and love as the professing believers accept every lie as a possible truth? How do we judge our own path as correct if not by the Word of God? Even our Lord said that He does not Judge, right? Then what did He say,(John 8:15-16) "You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, My decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me."
It is by the words of the Father He judged, just as we should – we go by His words and the words of His Apostles (John 17:20). Don't you realize that one day we will be called on to judge even the angels (1 Cor 6:2-3)?
We, believers, have been beaten over the head so thoroughly and for so long with the "thou shalt not Judge" warning, that many of us have become paralyzed in our Spirit, going neither forward nor backward – lukewarm, you could say. Those of us in this class have become more righteous than God Himself, being more forgiving, more tolerant and in our not judging we even avoid our God’s Words, ignoring the instruction to expose them, to call them out. What, do you think there are not wolves in the Church today?
(Act 20:29-30) I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.
Is anyone so naïve to think the wolves were only present in the first century? Isn’t it more reasonable to assume the number of wolves has grown, even out striping true teachers? The warning went out only a few years after our Lord YaHshua returned to
