The Testimony in the Spirit of Prophecy
From the bond-servants
(Rev 19:10) I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, "Look! Don't do it! I am a fellow bond servant with you and with your brothers who hold the Testimony of YaHshua. Worship the FATHER, for the testimony of YaHshua is the Spirit of Prophecy."
Strong's: From G3144; evidence given (judicially or generally): - record report testimony witness.
Evidence given that YaHshua is Messiah/Savior and there is none other. Sent by our Heavenly Father, in the Flesh of men to suffer as we suffer, to experience the frailty of the flesh, but whose Blood is worth all of our lives put together, which He willingly shed for us. We confess YaHshua and only YaHshua as the Son of The Living God, in whose Name we must all be SAVED UNDER -- Acts 4:12 -- He also came to reveal to those He chooses, His and now our Heavenly Father -- Mat 11:27. And it is all provable by the Spirit of Prophecy. In other words, we believe what He has revealed to us in His prophetic word and words and it is by the prophetic word that our Savior YaHshua is revealed. And it is by this very Spirit that makes Him known to us by His Word. The Prophetic Word proves He is who He says He is and identifies Him and the Father.
Thayer -- Greek word Definition:
a. a discourse emanating from divine inspiration and declaring the purposes of God, whether by reproving and admonishing the wicked, or comforting the afflicted, or revealing things hidden; esp. by foretelling future eventsb. Used in the NT of the utterance of OT prophets
It is not the senseless babbling as some claim, and practice in the modern evangelical churches. It is the combining of the New Covenant understanding with that of the Old Covenant Prophets previous proclamations. New Covenant prophets are teachers and guides in the New Covenant truths and discernments necessary to understand the order of things in the Prophetic word -- admonishing the wicked, correcting, reproving those misusing the word but encouraging and comforting the afflicted by His healing words -- reminding everyone of what is to come as revealed in the Word. Divine revelation has already presented itself enough times and recorded enough times that further divine utterances are not necessary, and this is what is meant when we are told that Prophecy was until John the Baptist.
(Mat 11:12-14) And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if you will receive it, this is Elijah, which was for to come.
What this means is that the Law that provides prophetic teachings has been written, the communication between individual men and such events recorded has ceased. There are no more prophetic word being delivered to self appointed prophets who claim our Savior or the Father it talking to them. Scripture is not continuing to be written. So, what about the Book of revelation? What about what our Savior said in Matthew 24? For one thing, YaHshua is the originator of the Prophetic Word and the Apostle John was the last Apostle and it is only fitting that he would be given this final vision under inspiration and by physical and spiritual visions and direct communications with the Angel of YaHWeH. If this were to occur again, it would not be anything new, only a repeat of what is already delivered. In other words, our Savior would only be repeating Himself. We bear a Testimony about Him and only Him as our Savior, who laid down His life for us, and we teach and learn by and from His Prophetic Word.
The Prophetic word found in the Law (Torah) stopped, ending as an official office among the secular and civil authorities. The office of the Prophet was a recognized position among the people of Israel and Judah -- that ended with the arrival of the Baptist, John -- this office did not truly end until the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD, at least among men. All through the New Covenant writings we have the Apostles explaining the Prophetic word from the Old. Our Savior explained what was to come, He being the Ultimate among the final Prophet in the flesh. The final revelation came from the Apostle John. As prophets since then, there has been many definitions, covering everything from individuals making claims and performing outlandish act and making ignorant proclamation, all of which fail, to private prophets in the church who seem to have strong premonitions about everyday things. But, for those who bear the Testimony of YaHshua, the Spirit of Prophecy is what is needed to understand His mission and His Church on this earth. Understanding that the Prophetic word is testified to by what has already happened and what is to happen in the future. Our duty is to read, study and understand the Written Prophetic Word and apply it as it happens, because that is the only way to see and fully understand the Prophetic word as His Truth and His warning and His Proof that He is and always has been, HalleluYaH!
Each generation has its number of Anointed -- Make not mistake, those who are called by Him and of the Father have been Anointed to this purpose just as we are told with this warning as well --
(1Jn 2:26-28) These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in Him. And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
In other words, Grow up. Stop the nonsense and realize your calling, that in answering your calling you are ANOINTED in Him. Did you know that the Word CHRIST means ANOINTED? YaHshua is the Anointed (Christ) of God the Father, and we are the Anointed in Him, YaHshua. This is serious business and chasing after every new doctrine that comes along is a fools errand. We have the Word, the written words or copies of words already delivered -- there is no new Scripture being written, and if there were, it would only be a repeat of what we have already been given. And That my friends is the Truth.
